Jayen in 2005

I’m a 22 year old (at the time of writing) Britt who has lived in Valencia, Spain since 10 years of age. I am multilingual in English and Spanish and also speak a few words of French although I currently hardly get the chance to practice it. I currently work as a web publisher with a focus on blogging and so this subject will be one of the focuses of this blog along with computers and Technology.

When I’m not glued to my computer and the internet, I enjoy hiking in the Spanish mountains and participating in sports such as tennis, table tennis and skiing. I also love photography and video editing so when out hiking I take a lot of photos and make hike videos that I share with the world on my channel on YouTube YouTube.com/JayenWoods (I’m currently in the process of uploading my around 60 videos). I also like to make video blogs, so you will find that this blog isn’t only in text form. On top of all this I play the piano a bit and like to make up simple little tunes.

I will be building an archive on this blog of my best photography, mostly from hikes in the Spanish mountains but also from the French Alps and other places. I will also do the same over time for my hike videos, maybe eventually using Google maps to show the exact location of where the hike videos took place.

I may in the future add a Spanish blog as a sub domain to this site, but regardless this blog will have machine translations performed in various languages of all its pages that you can access though the country flags from the sidebar.

You can follow my micro blogging on my twitter page here: Twitter.com/JayenWoods

hi Jayen – really enjoyed your video of the lake and the bathing pool somewhere near Anna.
And relating to one of your other vids – we discovered Los Pozos de Clariano this year in June. Great swimming. Do you know Cofrentes? Superb river scenery and access there. I'm REALLY keen to learn of more natural, river, pool areas in the Valencia region. Do you know of any others? John Tweedy, Cirencester, England. (Got some great photos of the Cofrentes river area if you wanted to see them) Any chance you can email me if you get time?

    Hi there

So sorry for not getting back to you before, this blog has really got put to one side, something i really need to put right now in 2011 ;) . Yes I know cofrentes, but i haven't actually been there, i've seen some interesting things to go visit on Google Earth around there and it's one of my intended future visiting locations, yes i would like to see photos (I'll email this to you). As for other places google los fuentes del algar (it's near benidorm), it's kind of a more commercial version of pou clar. I also liked the rio fraile up in the mountains around Bicorp and next to the reserva de cortes, i've got an old video on livevideo from a hike there: http://www.livevideo.com/video/A59FBF13BE324BD7A9…
